How to play Plagdle

Every day at midnight UTC, Plagdle picks one infectious disease, and every player gets the same one. Your goal is to find it in as few guesses as possible.

What each guess tells you

Type a disease name and pick it from the list. The game compares it with the answer on:

• Vaccine: whether a vaccine exists
• Etiology: virus, bacteria, protozoa, fungus, helminth or prion
• Minimum and maximum incubation: in days
• Treatment: the main therapy
• Vector: how the disease spreads

Reading the colours

• Green: exact match
• Yellow: partial match. For example, if the answer spreads through ticks and you guessed a mosquito-borne disease, both are arthropod vectors.
• Red: no match

Arrows on the incubation columns show whether the answer's value is higher or lower than your guess.

Hints

A small hint unlocks after 3 guesses, and a bigger one after 6.
